Scrabble’s Twitter Advergame

Agency Duval Guillaume Modem created a pretty cool web-based advergame called TwitterScrabble for the launch of Scrabble Trickster, a new board game inspired by the original Scrabble. The brand is challenging the Belgian Twitter community (the “Twitterverse” I should say) to compete for the highest scoring Scrabble, which they have to compose from a set of 100 random characters. After logging in with your Twitter credentials on the dedicated microsite, your goal is to figure out your words combination and tweet it for submission. Pretty straightforward. I think this is a great digital activation that has the potential to be very successful and to live on even after the promo ends, especially given the current popularity of word games like “Words With Friends”. Too bad it’s only available in Flemish…
